CAO Pilón cigars take their name from the traditional fermentation method used to develop the blend’s refined character. Before rolling, the tobaccos are carefully stacked in circular piles known as pilónes, a slower and more labor-intensive process that allows the leaves to ferment gradually and develop greater depth and smoothness. Reserved for select blends, this time-honored technique requires patience but rewards smokers with a more nuanced flavor profile. CAO Pilón features premium Nicaraguan binder and filler tobaccos wrapped in an oily Ecuador-grown Cuban-seed leaf, delivering medium-bodied notes of roasted coffee bean, wood, pepper, and almond throughout the finish.
