Foundation Aksum Maduro

Foundation Cigars Aksum Maduro cigars are handcrafted in Estelí, Nicaragua, by AJ Fernandez for Foundation Cigars founder Nick Melillo and offered in a lineup of classic sizes. A dark, oily Ecuador Sumatra wrapper cloaks a Connecticut Broadleaf binder and a rich blend of Nicaraguan long-fillers from Jalapa and Estelí. The medium to full-bodied profile layers notes of cedar, leather, black pepper, and cocoa with lingering hints of red pepper and molasses on the finish. Inspired by his passion for biblical history, Melillo named the blend after the ancient Kingdom of Aksum, the legendary resting place of the Ark of the Covenant.
